Princesses in Banff Springs Hotel

Right now my school is on a two week vacation for spring break. I've been a very busy girl with all my events going on and school on top of that so it is nice to have a bit of a break. Right now my mom, my sister and I are in Calgary visiting my grandparents. They are getting older and we don't get to see them too too much so we thought it would be nice to visit them and help them out with a few errannds and stuff. However, before we arrived at their house, we got to spend a night at the beautiful Banff Springs Hotel. I think its one of our favorite family hotel that we go to. We all went there once in 2002 for my Grandpa's 70th birthday and once more a year or two after that. We feel in love with the beauty of the hotel and wanted to go again. So, we took a detour to Banff. It's a cute little town. I loved walking around and going into all the little shops and things. I have told you about my bugaboo trip right? Well, the people that sponsored me to go up there work in Banff. We went to see their office to see if there was anybody we could talk to about what a fabulous tie I had up there and too thank them for sending me and the other students up there. They were all in a meeting and couldn't see me so we might try again when we are on our way back home Fingers crossed! Anyway, the best part of being in Banff was definetly just walking around and hangung out in the hotel. It's just like a big castle. Its known as the castle in the Rockies. You could walk around in there all day and feel like your in a palace visiting the Queen. You coulld easily get lost in there, but we love walking around in it. My favourite spot of the whole hotel is sort of like a big ball room. It looks like a room where you would have a royal ball at an old fashioned castle. There is even a throne and torch lights like the olden days. Its a bit creepy but I like the modernness of it all. The big room makes you feel like dancing the waltz. We were in that mood so bad that we made my sister put on a show for us. We just spent the night taking pictures and exploring and then watching a movie in our hotel room! We really felt like princesses in the rockies! Thankyou to our friends The Bruns who made it possible for us to spend another night at the gorgeous castle in the Rockies What a great girls night!
